Bobbie's Paintings

Bobbie has started taking watercolor painting at the Dallas Craft Guild.  This next week she is going to try her hand at birds.  I really like her Aspens in this painting.  Most of these are post card size, but she has done a few 8x10 size.

Dragon Boat Races

A couple of weeks ago, we went to the Dragon Boat races on the Lake/Canals at Las Colinas in Irving.
This is an annual Asian event and is always colorful and exciting as the 26 crew Dragon Boats race for the Winners Award.  The pace of rowing is set by the drummer at the front of the boat and the coach at the rear.

The skys were full of kites of many designs and colors.  We were hoping to see some kite fighting, but no such luck.

A Little Back Tracking

A couple of bird photos I thought were interesting.  A Blue Bird fussing with a Sissortail Flycatcher and a Cardinal and a Sissortail acting like buddies - not very common.

My first blog post

Well I've finally done it.  After several spits and starts, I am going to do a photo blog.  my intent is blog my/Bobbie's travels and some daily activities, which many times have a photo component to them.  I am posting my photos to Flickr and will set up a link that will integrate this blog with Flickr.
